The Learner Support team at Oakmere have an “open door” policy. Learners are encouraged to access support from the team for a variety of issues, including:
- Drug/alcohol use
Ongoing mentoring support is on offer at all times and we are able to signpost learners on to other agencies if they require specialised support.
Learners are also eligible for an allowance or bursary, a free meal and travel support (conditions apply).
Learner Support is the first point of contact for the learners throughout their journey at Oakmere Community College.
- When you have successfully completed your course with us, you will have access to an impartial Information, Advice and Guidance service that will signpost and support you to further appropriate study, Apprenticeships or potential employers to ensure you achieve your full potential.
- We will also support you with employability skills, C.V construction, job search and Interview Skills.
