Liverpool city council have awarded Oakmere a food hygiene rating of 5 (very good) in their latest inspection.
The hygiene rating takes into account the following three key points:
- How hygienically food is handled – how it is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored
- Condition of the buildings – cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and other facilities
- How the business manages what it does to make sure food is safe and in a way that will be maintained in the future
Each of these elements are essential to ensuring that food served is safe to eat. If the establishment receives a score of ‘0’ this indicates that urgent improvement is needed.
The latest inspection results show food hygiene rating for 3,492 premises within Liverpool City Council. Out of these less than half – only 1,583 – achieved a rating of 5 so here at Oakmere we are very pleased with all of our hard work!
